The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra performs great music to inspire and unite our community and seeks to develop an interest in and admiration for classical music for people of all ages.
The orchestra is unique in the Bay Area in that all our concerts are admission-free. The board and staff of SFCO want to make classical music accessible to everyone not to just those who can afford to attend.
The concert includes a world premiere composition by composer Michael Gilbertson. A performance by the young, dynamic violist Juan-Miguel Hernandez performing the Stamitz Viola Concerto in D Major, and a performance of Hadyn's Symphony No. 104, an orchestral tour-de-force combining symphonic splendor and lighthearted brilliance.
