Free2Succeed is an Idaho Department of Correction program devoted to pairing returning citizens from prison with a community member. There are mentors being matched with someone coming out of prison daily, but in order to make this program a great success Free2Succeed will need volunteers to keep the program moving forward.
Volunteers interested in Free2Succeed support will be focused on promoting the program in the District (Boise, Valley, Ada and Elmore County), gaining experience with training mentors, interacting with Parole and Probation Officers, and being a detrimental part in the success of a returning citizen.

Description
¨ Protect the public by being a part of the offender’s support system. Successful transition means safer communities.
¨ Protect the public by providing accountability, trust, and a positive relationship.
¨ Protect the public by developing partnerships with IDOC staff, faith-based organizations, and other community support groups.
¨ Protect the public by providing opportunities for the offender to change. Provide comfort and encouragement through difficult and stressful times, ensure the offender attends and completes required programs, seek positive and edifying activities to develop social and problem-solving skills.
