Help Assist Her



  • Build Help Assist Her's main women's healthcare locating web app as well as internal tools

  • Develop new user-facing features using React and Redux

  • Build reusable components and follow industry best practices

  • Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code

  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Skills and Qualifications

  • A passion for helping women

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs

  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

  • Experience building apps optimizing the mobile experience

  • Familiarity with Git version control system

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science

  • 3 years of experience in a related field

  • Experience with industry standard design tools (we use Sketch and InVision)

  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization

  • The ability to mentor junior engineers
