Each year we host the Wounded Marine Golf Tournament as a fundraising event to support those receiving treatment at Naval Medical Center San Diego, and this year’s tournament is being held Tuesday, 13 APR 2021 at Singing Hills Golf Resort. We need volunteers in the following areas/times:
6 a.m.-9 a.m.; Event Set-up and Transition; 8 volunteers needed
Volunteers will help set up check-in tables and canopies; assemble gift bags for golfers; assist with check-in; and promote raffle ticket sales.
8 a.m.-1 p.m.; Hole-in-One observers; 4 volunteers needed
Volunteers will be stationed on one of four holes to watch for anyone hitting a hole-in-one and must sign an affidavit if someone hits a hole-in-one. (The prize at each of the holes in the contest is a new car.)
8 a.m.-1 p.m.; Golf Ball Air Cannon assistants; 2 volunteers
Golf teams will be given the opportunity to use an air cannon to launch one of their team's golf balls down the course. Volunteers assist the vendor with operation and collection of donations.
9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; Silent Auction/Raffle/Event Tear-down; 4 volunteers needed
Volunteers will assist with the silent auction and raffle by setting up items and ensuring they are distributed to the winners. They'll also assist with the tear-down at the end of the event.
