About

Did you know that this year alone more children will be diagnosed with autism than with cancer, diabetics, and AIDS combined and yet autism is the least funded of all disabilities?

We are seeking a volunteer media relations genius who can help spread the word about our upcoming "Music Through The Decades"Gala, celebrating the music of the 60's, 70's, & 80's with Special Guest Of Honor Nichelle Nichols, Lt. Uhura of Star Trek. We anticipate 350 guests including other surprise musical guests. Net proceeds benefit our philanthropic work of standing tall at the forefront of the battle to remove barriers and increase high quality and equal access to music education for autistic children. We believe that autistic children, regardless of ability, social, or economic status deserve the opportunity to experience all the magic that music has to offer.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 1). Create a list of media contacts 2). Create press releases for Gala 3). Send out press releases 4). Aquire celebrities 5). Aquire talent

Benefits include: 1). Ability to work remotely 2). Flexible hours 3). Gain confidence 4). Build your portfolio 5). Meet new people, make new friends 6). Take on a challenge 7). Explore career paths 8). Be part of the community 8). Two complimentary tickets to the Gala 9). School credit, if needed 10). Most importantly, knowing that you are making a difference in the lives of autistic children
