Description
Join Columbus Gives Back to serve dinner to individuals at Faith Mission's Community Kitchen. This is a tremendously rewarding experience that allows us to provide such an essential service to individuals and families in need.
Where: Faith Mission Community Kitchen, 245 N Grant Street. Once you arrive, there is a sign in sheet at the front desk. Tell them you're here to serve and they will point you to the kitchen.
When: Monday, April 23, 6:15 - 8:15 PM. We will be serving the men.

What: We will be serving dinner, cafeteria style to the men in the community. Wear comfortable clothing, tie your hair back if necessary, and prepare to serve all your favorites: mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, chicken/rice, or whatever else the kitchen whips up that day. If you are opposed to hair nets you can bring a hat to wear.
Additional information: All volunteers at Faith Mission must wear CLOSED-TOED SHOES. Hair nets, aprons, and gloves will be provided.
#socialtwist: After the end, we invite you to head out with our Event Leaders to celebrate our volunteering with dinner/drinks!

Columbus Gives Back coordinates group volunteer events with local non-profits, organizes philanthropic happy hours to raise support and awareness for our non-profit partners, and participates in other philanthropic events while emphasizing our social twist: to have fun with volunteers new and old during and after events in the hopes of creating a culture of community engagement amongst our target audience of young professionals.
