The Ready to Achieve Mentoring Program (RAMP) TM is a high-tech, career-focused mentoring program for young people with disabilities who are involved with or at risk of becoming involved with the juvenile justice system. The RAMP TM model uses a combination of weekly group, peer, and one-on-one mentoring sessions to promote the successful transition of participants to employment, continued learning opportunities, and independent living.
Ability Connection Colorado’s, Ready to Achieve Mentoring Program (RAMP) TM, is seeking adult volunteer mentors to commit to supporting, guiding, and being a friend to a young person. Mentors take the lead in supporting a young people through an ongoing, one-to-one relationship by planning and participating in activities together. By becoming part of the social network of adults and community members who care about young people, the mentor can help participants develop and reach positive academic, career, and personal goals. By listening and encouraging them, you get to be a person in their life that supports them through all of their life challenges and successes.
