REACH & RISE Mentoring through the YMCA
All kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.
Become a mentor in our Reach & Rise Mentoring Program and change a child's future FOREVER! Reach & Rise offers individual support to positively impact the lives of youth ages 6-18 in our area.
As a mentor, you can help youth who may be dealing with issues such as low self-esteem, social isolation, family problems, peer conflict, academic challenges or poor decision-making skills. Become a mentor today!
REQUIREMENTS
23+ years old
Driver's License
Meet 1-3 hours per week for 1 year
Pass background check and drug screen
COMMITMENT
Mentor training (15 hours total) and 1-3 hours a week (flexible) for one year

Description
The Sequoia YMCA is a branch of the YMCA of Silicon Valley serving Redwood City, Menlo Park and Woodside communities. The Sequoia YMCA, which has served its community for more than 50 years, operates a full-service health and wellness facility, and also offers a variety of programming at locations throughout the community.
Hundreds of youth and adults come into the Sequoia YMCA on a daily basis seeking support and services in order to improve their quality of life. We are proud to be a great community resource that helps families creatively spend time together, individuals maintain healthier lifestyles, and gives children and teens positive experience and memories that will last a lifetime.
