Burnsville's Mobile Volunteer Network (MVN) is a group of dedicated volunteers who assist Police and Fire personnel during special events or emergency situations. Members are able to take their skills to the front lines, working side by side with police officers and firefighters. During special events, and in any disaster or emergency response situations that arise, MVN members are asked to assist with:
- Directing traffic and maintaining perimeters
- Setting up emergency shelters and staging areas
- Searching for missing persons and objects
- Helping move equipment and supplies
- Administering basic first aid
