POSTPONED: 2018 Clinton Chamber Clean-up Day

As many may already be aware, the City of Clinton has had to unfortunately postpone the annual Caterpillar Parade and Spring Into Green Market originally scheduled for April 14 th due to inclement weather. The annual events, which have gained renown throughout the metro area and the state of Mississippi, have thankfully been rescheduled for next weekend on Saturday, April 21 st.

To better accommodate our volunteers, sponsors, and the city’s needs, the Clinton Chamber of Commerce has opted to also postpone the 2018 Chamber Clean-up Day until the fall. This difficult decision is made in solidarity with Main Street Clinton and the hopes that all citizens of Clinton will be able to participate in both the Spring Into Green Market and the Caterpillar Parade events on Saturday, April 21 st. The Chamber would like to encourage everyone to join us in attending these wonderful events and supporting Main Street Clinton’s efforts to promote Clinton as a destination for family-friendly entertainment and activities.

The Chamber acknowledges and appreciates everyone who had already registered as an individual volunteer or group for the Clean-up Day, and we apologize for any inconvenience this postponement may cause. For rescheduling the Clean-up this fall, the Chamber will be working with both Main Street Clinton and the city’s Public Works Department, hopefully expanding the Clean-up’s scope to a full day of beautifying numerous areas of Clinton and making its outdoor spaces fresh and welcoming for visitors and residents alike. Stay tuned for updates about this engaging community volunteer opportunity, as our plans for the 2018 Chamber Clean-up Day continue to grow.
