Are you an adrenalin junkie? Do you like it when no two days are alike? Do you have the skills to deal with people who are anxious and worried about what’s going to happen next? Then you have the makings of a great Emergency Department Triage volunteer. St Luke’s Emergency Department sees over 55,000 patients a year and is the second busiest Emergency Department in the state of IA. As an ED Triage volunteer you are critical to the experience our patients and visitors have in receiving healthcare in our ED. You provide the "extras" that frees up our staff to offer exceptional healthcare. While we have shifts from 8 AM to 10 PM, we are in particular need of volunteers to fill daytime shifts in the schedule. Daytime shifts run from 8-12 noon and 12-4 PM.
