Some of our patients are spending their final weeks, days and hours of their life alone, without family and friends nearby. Although they become part of the Seasons Hospice family, these individuals would benefit from your companionship and supportive presence at the end of their life. Vigil volunteers are trained to support patients in their final hours by holding their hand, providing reassurance, placing a cool washcloth on their forehead, creating a peaceful environment through music and aromatherapy, and offering support throughout their transition.

You will receive full hospice volunteer training and specialized Vigil Volunteer training at the Seasons Inpatient Center at Franklin Square Medical Center in Rosedale, Sinai Hospital in Baltimore or Northwest Hospital in Randallstown. All volunteers with Seasons Hospice complete criminal and motor vehicle background checks as well as two TB tests, paid for by Seasons. Proof of flu shot is required during flu seasons. If this sounds like a meaningful opportunity to you, please contact Carolyn Young at cayoung@seasons.org or 888-523-600 or apply online at www.seasons.org.
