Community Meal
Hostel guests and volunteers enjoying a meal. Hostel guests come from very different countries and ways of life. What better way to spread diversity and cultural understanding than through food?!


HI Houston is looking for a few volunteers to help lead Community Meals at the hostel. This is a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world and share your favorite sites in Houston with travelers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing food/setting up
  • Interacting with guests, facilitating conversations among guests to encourage intercultural exchange
  • Sharing your recommendations in Houston
  • Clean up
