This position suits well for high school and college students seeking volunteer hours for community service and/or experience with a psychology-based organization.
Position Description: The cashier takes payment from members as they register for our monthly Friday night event, "Why Jungians Read Fairy Tales," our Friday lectures and our Saturday workshops. Volunteers attend events for free.
Specific Tasks: Processes credit card, cash and check payments; transfers receipts and cash to the Treasurer according to organizational procedures and timelines; provides board members with name badges at events; maintains a petty cash fund ($150.00); prepares documents to registrants receiving continuing education credits and other handouts and flyers specific to each event. Events are scheduled from September through May and take place three times a month: on two Friday evenings and one Saturday morning. Flexibility is applicable if necessary.
Time Commitment: Cashier works three times a month: two Friday night evenings and one Saturday. Working these hours provide 7 hours of community service per month . Flexibility may apply.
