Active Heroes is holding Retreat Center volunteer days throughout spring, summer, and fall.
Our 147-acre Retreat Center for veterans, military, and their families requires a lot of love and care from volunteers just like you.
This opportunity is every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from April through October! Hours are typically 9AM - 2PM.
Come out and help us work the land, mow, weed-eat, clear brush, love on our horses and more.
All ages are welcome, feel free to bring family and friends!
Our Retreat Center is located at 1022 Ridgeview Dr, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.

Active Heroes is a 501c3 charity helping Veterans, Active Duty Military and their families. Active Heroes’ mission is to strengthen active duty military, veterans and their families in order to provide the coping skills to manage the stress and the triggering points that lead tomilitary veteran suicide. Active Heroes is dedicated to connecting with and helping America’s military families through physical and mental therapy, community outreach and community reintegration to halt the triggering points and stress associated with the "hard times" that lead to military veteran suicide.
