High Rock Challenge

The Greenbelt Conservancy's High Rock Challenge is one of Staten Island's premier 10K trail races. Participants compete in teams of two and battle through both physical and mental challenges along the Greenbelt Trail System. The event welcomes more than 800 participants of all ages and fitness levels.

Volunteers are needed to cover three dates and times:

Thursday, April 26
3:00 pm through 8:00 pm
Volunteers will assist with race bag pick-up and participants t-shirt distribution. A minimum two hour commitment is requested.

Friday, April 27
9:00 am through 7:00 pm
Volunteers will assist with course set-up, obstacle construction, and more. Duties may require volunteers to build and lift. A minimum four (4) hour commitment is required. Skilled craftsman are a huge plus, but not required.

Saturday, April 28
7:00 am through 12:00 pm
Volunteers are needed to assist with race day registration, obstacle monitoring, course marshaling and more.

All volunteer opportunities take place at Henry Kaufman Camp Grounds at 1131 Manor Road, Staten Island. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and our special thanks! Grab a friend, bring your family, and help The Greenbelt Conservancy host another fantastic event!

The Conservancy is dedicated to promoting conservation and preservation of natural areas on Staten Island, and increasing public awareness, support and enjoyment of the Greenbelt, which consists of 2,800 acres of forests, meadows, streams, ponds, parks and recreational areas. The Conservancy is responsible for the prudent management of its endowment to benefit the Greenbelt
