The LCS Office Managers will be responsible for managing the front desk area, supporting management and staff, and acting as a liaison between the agency and the community. This position reports to the Executive Director Responsible for the day to day operations of the front desk area which includes but is not limited to, answering a multi-extension telephone system, faxing, sending mass communications via email. Checking voice mail box daily and forwarding messages to appropriate staff. Handling in-coming and outgoing mail including notifying staff of in-coming mail. Managing general agency email inbox and respond to email as appropriate. Greet visitors, conduct LCS tours as needed, provide basic information to visitors, callers, and clients. Provide comprehensive secretarial and clerical support to all LCS staff and management. Monitor and keep track of which staff are in the building and out of building. Manage the conference room schedule and ensure that lobby and conference rooms are clean and accessible for use at all times. Ability to handle a range of administrative and executive support related tasks.

In 1986, Hartford-area Latinos with HIV/AIDS, social workers and community members began organizing support groups for individuals recently diagnosed with HIV. As the epidemic spread and more Latinos became infected, these organizers started advocating for culturally-appropriate HIV/AIDS programs and services. Out of these initiatives and leadership, Latino Community Services (originally known as "Latinos Contra SIDA") was born.
