The Survivant Organization (TSO), a non-profit located dedicated to assisting female victims of domestic and sexual violence aged 16-24, is recruiting an individual to serve a VIRTUAL EXPERIENCED INDIVIDUAL LOCATION MANAGER (will change to IN-PERSON when pandemic restrictions have been lifted) to join a film crew for a true-crime docu-series shooting in Washington, DC!
You must CURRENTLY LIVE in the DC METRO AREA to be ELIGIBLE for this opportunity. We want to establish relationships now so that when the pandemic restrictions are lifted, we can begin filming again.
We are looking for a VIRTUAL EXPERIENCED INDIVIDUAL LOCATION MANAGER to join a local team of advocates and researchers working on a docu-series focused on a cluster of cold case murders of African-American girls in the 1970s. It is our hope that the documentary will help raise awareness by comparing and contrasting how crimes against women have been seen and handled by law enforcement, the media, and society across time. We are looking for the right individual to start ASAP. Below is a description of the position along with its responsibilities:
VIRTUAL LOCATION MANAGER:
- Responsible for securing permission to film on location
- Onset to oversee filming when on location
- Researches and scouts filming locations
- Liaison between property managers and film crew
We really believe in this project so you must have previous experience in your desired position listed above in order to join our team. This is a NON-PAYING opportunity. But we hope to find other like-minded individuals who also want to affect change and work to achieve gender equality around the world. This position must be filled ASAP .

Description
The Survivant Organization (TSO) is a newly formed non-profit dedicated to eradicating domestic and sexual violence in females aged 16-24 through research, interactive education, and advocacy. One in every four women will experience domestic and/or sexual violence. But girls in this age range are four times more likely to experience these kinds of violence over any other age group. TSO implements programs that increase awareness, create safety plans, facilitate legal representation, and provide additional neccessities for survivors on their journey to recovery. Every woman we assist will be provided with holistic solutions, guiding survivors towards a life free from violence and abuse.
