WSFF 2018
Central Coast State Parks Association presents the 2018 Wild & Scenic Film Festival!

Are you interested in being a part of the film selection committee for CCSPA's Wild & Scenic Film Festival 2018? As a member of the film selection committee, you will watch films in their entirety and provide feedback, based on particular attributes we are looking for (genre, causes, activities, animals, geographic location, cinematography, etc.). As a committee member, you are expected to view AT LEAST 60 of the 138 films we have to choose from. The films range in length from 3 minutes to 38 minutes, and are all connected to the environment in one way or another. You will need to complete your viewings and feedback forms by May 25th. We will offer an opportunity to participate in several 2-hour blocks of film screenings throughout April and May at the CCSPA office. You will also be provided a link and log in information to view all of the films from your own computer, on your own schedule. Feedback will be entered on an online form. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT COMMIT TO VIEWING AT LEAST 60 FILMS IN THE NEXT TWO MONTHS. The first group viewing session is Thursday, April 5, so don't delay in applying now!

It is our hope to get as diverse a selection committee as possible, so please tell us as about yourself and why environmental films interest you.

As a benefit of being a part of the committee and fulfilling your 60 film minimum commitment, you will be allowed one free ticket to an evening of your choice at CCSPA's 2018 Wild & Scenic Film Festival.

We will be notifying those accepted to the committee on a rolling basis.

CCSPA's 2018 WSFF will be September 28th - 30th, held in Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo, and Los Osos.

About Central Coast State Parks Association

Location:

202 Tank Farm Road Suite H2, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401, US

Mission Statement

Central Coast State Parks Association, in partnership with California State Parks, promotes public awareness and stewardship of our natural resources and cultural heritage, now and for future generations. As a cooperative association, we support interpretation, education, and volunteer efforts in local state parks. Our organization is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit. We are one of 85 similar cooperating associations across the state who work in partnership with State Parks.

Description

CCSPA's primary purpose is to raise funds for educational and interpretive programs within our local state parks. Purchase firewood from your camp host next time you are camping at MontaƱa de Oro, Morro Bay State Park, Morro Strand State Beach, Pismo State Beach or Oceano State Beach - proceeds help support our programs while keeping you warm. Or attend one of our special events and have a great time while getting to know like-minded people supporting education in local state parks. And of course, becoming a member helps support our programs year-round!

As the political nature of state programs has evolved over the past few years, so has CCSPA. Today, part of CCSPA's efforts include advocating for California State Parks throughout California to assure the conservation, recreation, and education legacy of California State Parks remains for generations.
