If you are interested in directly serving older adults in a fast-paced setting, this is the opportunity for you! The Client Services Navigator welcomes and assists walk-in clients entering our social services agency, informing them with an overview of all support services our team provides and manages emergency assistance needs, including utility bill payment. As a volunteer working in this capacity, you will answer questions, provide information and, most importantly, treat all clients with dignity and respect, thus creating an atmosphere that is compassionate and informative.
The ideal person for this role is mature, dependable, and a caring individual who exhibits the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs. You must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of client information. Also, you will need to be assertive, work as a member of a team, have strong organizational and computer skills, as well as pay attention to detail. We are seeking volunteers to serve an eight-hour day, but would consider a four-hour minimum.
