Amanda the Panda is looking for a volunteer to drive our van/minivan to provide transportation for support group participant who otherwise would not be able to attend our programming.
The volunteer would need to pick up the Amanda the Panda van/minivan at our office, drive to participants homes prior to the start time (about an hour before programming, but varies depending on participants locations) and then drop them off at camp for programming on Saturday, September 29. The volunteer would also need to then take participants back home on Sunday, September 30, after camp concludes and return the van to our office.
Some key responsibilities are:
- Transport passengers in a safe and lawful manner. This includes the use of seat belts for all passenger as well as car seats for those requiring them.
- Adhere to the agreed upon schedules, keeping in mind that schedules do fall behind due to unforeseen events.
- Report as soon as possible any problems or concerns regarding a specific participant or transportation request.
- Inform Team Director of vacations, illness, etc. that would necessitate a substitute driver, with as much advance notice as possible.
The volunteer must have a valid driver's license with chauffeur's endorsement, submit to and pass a driving record check, background check, and a child and dependent adult abuse check.
