CASFV is looking for those special individuals that can assist us with hospital accompaniment for sexual assault victims. As we move forward as an agency, we are looking to fill our hospital advocacy calendar with more volunteers. The goal is to eventually have the calendar ran by only volunteers, so we need your help.
Hospital Accompaniment Response Team Advocates will provide crisis interventions to survivors of sexual assault and support them during the evidence collection process at the hospital.
Responsibilities: Be on-call for a 12-hour shift at a minimum of twice per month for a yearlong commitment. Arriving at the hospital the volunteer will provide services and information to survivors.
Summer Training:
June 8th from 8am to 5pm
15th from 8am to 5pm
22rd from 8am to 5pm
29th from 8am to 5pm
July 6th from 8am to 5pm
Fall Training:
September 7th from 8am to 5pm
14th from 8am to 5pm
21st from 8am to 5pm
28th from 8am to 5pm
October 5th from 8am to 5pm
Additional on the job training for certification is required.
*Must be able to attend all sessions in their entirety.
