No child should go to bed hungry. St. Vincent de Paul’s Atkinson Food Room is there to help. Those in need of food select their own items, choosing what best suits the needs of their family. This approach decreases wasted food and is more like shopping in a supermarket, helping people maintain their dignity.
As a volunteer you will help facilitate participants that access our Food Room for Emergency Food Boxes. You will help Food Box guests pick from the many varieties of food, depending on family size, and restock food shelves as necessary.
Shifts run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-1pm.
