Our priceless and valuable volunteers are the core of our hospice program. They receive training that enables them to volunteer and support our patients in homes, area nursing homes, and at assisted living facilities. Volunteers also provide respite (rest) for caregivers, visit with patients and families, run errands, write letters, and provide comfort to the grieving.
Teens: age 14 or older are also eligible to participate in our Volunteer Teen Program. The dedicated teen volunteer have the opportunity to earn service hours for school, church or scholarships by volunteering either administratively in our office, or with patients in our facilities- under the guidance of the Volunteer Coordinator. 12 hours of orientation is required and parental consent is needed.
