  • We are searching for new Board Members to joinrd our volunteer Board of Director's one year commitment must have professional creditinals in Law, Educator, Marketing, Grant Writer, Journalism, Buisness, Coaching


We require expertise in the following areas:

  • Please submit your resume or Linedin Bio and a 5 minute virtual interview with present Board Members
  • Each Board Member must served for one year minmum.
  • All Board Members are required to bring in donors or chair a fundrasing campaign.
We are looking for someone who is ready to be engaged in supporting a long-standing organization with community roots.

Mission Statement

The Brooklyn Youth Tennis Association, Inc. (BYTA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing quality free/and or low-cost tennis instruction to culturally diverse, urban youth as a tool that supports and enhances their personal growth, physical health and academic achievement. Structured tennis instruction is an excellent vehicle for building character developing discipline, and promoting physical fitness and mental alertness, therefore (BYTA) seeks to build upon these aspects of tennis in order to help youth develop into well rounded adults who are socially responsible and engaged citizens.

Description

BYTA uses tennis as a framework to help students develop life-skills they can utilize as they advance in school and their careers. While delivering quality tennis instruction is our primary mission, BYTA has developed programs and
strategies designed to instill in our students self-worth, self-discipline, responsibility and goal setting.
