VOLUNTEERING AS A RECEPTIONIST
1. "Non-Adoption Hours" Reception: The main responsibilities of the morning receptionist are to answer phones and direct calls to staff, provide information about Homeward Pet and our adoption process, hours and available animals, and accept donations. Morning receptionists are also responsible for assigned administrative tasks, special projects and maintaining the lobby area.
2. "Adoption Hours" Reception: The primary responsibilities of receptionists during adoption hours are to greet our visitors and potential adopters, provide information about Homeward Pet and our adoption process, facilitate the start of our adoption process (by having potential adopters complete a survey), assign an Adoption Counselor, answer phones and direct calls, accept donations, and manage the lobby area.
Opening: Mon - Sun, 9 a.m.-Noon
Afternoon: Mon - Sun, Noon-3 p.m.
Closing: Mon - Sun, 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
