Renew Therapeutic Riding Center's (TRC) mission is to enhance the well-being of individuals in our community through the physical, cognitive and emotional benefits of therapeutic horsemanship.
We are in need of volunteers to work directly with our riders and horses, especially for our school groups that come to ride during the day. There are many different ways volunteers participate in our program, the primary role is by serving as a Lesson Volunteer. Some duties may include; grooming & tacking of horse, leading the horse, walking next to the rider during a lesson, ensuring safety, and reiterating the Instructor's intentions to riders.
Horse experience is NOT necessary to volunteer! During the winter, we operate in a heated indoor arena.
We are blessed to witness miracles on a pretty regular basis and love sharing what we do with others! Please contact us for more information.

Description
Renew Therapeutic Riding Center provides equine assisted activities and therapies to children and adults with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. Through the programs offered by Renew, our riders see improvement in balance, flexibility, strength and muscle tone.
In addition, our horse-centered programs allow our riders to achieve cognitive, social and emotional development resulting in increased self-esteem and independence. Renew Therapeutic Riding Center is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that is focused on improving the lives of all its riders.
We proudly became a Premiere Accredited Center with PATH International by meeting all of their standards for excellence in equine assisted activities and therapies in 2016. Renew is the only accredited center in West Michigan.
