More than 100 volunteers are needed to make the 4th annual Run for Woods 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk the best one ever! Please consider volunteering for this award-winning family friendly event, which raises more than $200,000 each year for Woods Services. Volunteers are needed to fill a variety of roles including check-in, course marshals, water station and t-shirt distribution, lead walkers, lunch line attendants, and much more!
We strongly suggest that volunteers attend a prep-rally training session and pizza party on Wednesday, May 2, to learn more volunteer assignments and event logistics. We also request that all volunteers stay until 1pm to help with clean up. Thank you in advance for your support!

Woods supports individuals with disabilities or challenges to achieve their highest potential and independence through innovative and individualized approaches that promote learning and personal fulfillment.
Description
For a century, Woods has been supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, challenging behaviors, emotional disorders, brain injury, and other neurological disorders. Currently, we provide supports for approximately 675 individuals in the Langhorne community, who range in age from 5-90 years old. About 250-300 of these residents engage in our special education programs. We have three schools located on-campus that have an extended school year (ESY) program. Woods also has an extensive Recreation Department and Volunteer Program that help provide our clients with as many opportunities as possible to "know the joy of achievement."
