Support Spring "JA Days" in Salinas and Throughout Monterey County!

Bring FINANCIAL LITERACY and JOB READINESS to local students!

Join our community of caring, passionate volunteer mentors to lead a one-day JA elementary school program at a local school during the month of May. Events are scheduled throughout April and May at multiple schools in Salinas, Castroville, Prunedale and King City.

JA volunteers will work side by side with their assigned classroom teacher to complete a 5-session JA program in a single morning. JA elementary programs feature hands-on, game-based learning activities introducing basic concepts in Personal Finance, Career Readiness and Entrepreneurship. JA staff provide training, support and all the lesson plans and materials you need. You bring your real-world knowledge and experience to make a difference and inspire the next generation of our local workforce.

Junior Achievement of Northern California (JA) achieves this mission through teaching students about their expanding roles as individuals, consumers, employees, employers, and productive members of our society. Working in partnership with over 4,000 community and corporate volunteers, we provide empowering programs to K-12 students across 26 counties in Northern and Central California. JA's vision is to make a positive impact on the lives of all students in our operational area, and our efforts towards this ultimate goal are guided by these core values:

Alameda, Calaveras, Contra Costa, Fresno, Humboldt, Inyo, Madera, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Mono, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Kings, Tulare, Glenn, and Tuolumne.
