Protect wolves in Oregon state!
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has created a draft wolf plan that would open the doors to public hunting of wolves, and the wolf plan was supposed to be finalized recently. However, there was public outcry against the wolf plan, and the final vote has been delayed. There has been an out pour of public support for wolves over the years, but most of that support has not been quantified. We need volunteers to help quantify comments from scientists and other key stakeholders before the draft plan is finalized. Having this data would make sure that the voices of wolf supporters are not lost, and it would help back wolf conservation groups and activists advocating for strong wolf protections before the Oregon wolf plan is finalized.
There are additional opportunities for this volunteer to gain additional organizing experience if desired, such as: training and educating activists or leading Oregon Endangered Species Guardians meetings.
