Every year, we help thousands of people in our local area obtain adult basic education and high school equivalency so that they can be more successful. One of the areas where we are trying to improve is retention. We are seeking volunteers to help us reach out to students who have stopped attending classes. We are also seeking assistance with our recruitment efforts.

Mission Statement
Georgia Piedmont Technical College's Adult Education Department works to help adults looking for new life opportunities.
Description
For more than 50 years, Georgia Piedmont Tech has offered adult literacy and general education diploma (GED) preparatory courses to Georgia residents who have not completed high school. As a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, we are able to offer these classes to our students free of charge. Through our Integrated Education & Training, Dual Enrollment, and YouthBuild programs, we have been able to offer career pathways to thousands of nontraditional adult learners. Because our main campus is located in Clarkston, GA, large number of our students are resettled refugees and assylum seekers from African and the Middle East.
