Longfellow Seward Healthy Seniors needs volunteers to help with our 21st Annual Italian Dinner & Fundraiser event, "A Night in Venice" on Thursday, April 23.
The event will be at St Albert the Great Church, at the corner of 29th Street and 32nd Ave S in Minneapolis
Help is needed between 3:30 - 8:30 PM
You can volunteer for a few hours or stay for the entire event! Sue Hunter-Weir will be presenting: Peanuts, popcorn & Preemies: Minneapolis Wonderland Amusement Park. Volunteers are needed beginning around 3:30PM on Thursday, April 23 to begin setting up for the event. During the event we'll need volunteers to greet guests, be at the registration table, serve people in the buffet line and serve beverages and desserts, set up and help with the silent auction, and clean up afterwards.
Proceeds from this fundraiser support our small non-profit program which supports seniors in the Longfellow/Seward neighborhoods of Minneapolis. By providing volunteer and professional services and service coordination, we help seniors continue to live safely in their homes while staying connected in the community.
If you'd like to help with our event, please call or send a message to the Volunteer and Service Coordinator at:
612-729-5799, or juliaockuly@lshealthyseniors.org

Mission Statement
The mission of our community-based program is to help neighborhood seniors to maintain their independence and quality of life. This will be achieved through health promotional activities, community resources, volunteers and nursing services that help individuals live safely in their own homes.
Description
We are a non-profit community-based organization serving older adults in the Longfellow and Seward neighborhoods of Minneapolis. Our purppose is to help seniors live independently at home with a high quality of life.
We are a member of the Living At Home Network, a group of programs throughout Minnesota that relies on "neighbors helping neighbors" to help seniors maintain their independence at home. We have a small staff so volunteers are an integral part of how we meet the needs of seniors in the neighborhoods we serve.
