Community Involvement Programs (CIP) supports people who have severe, persistent mental health issues and/or developmental disabilities through services that promote wellness, safety and recovery. One of the programs is our Community Engagement Services, which connects people we support to opportunities to be involved and be of service in the community.

Description : Community Engagement Services provides all of their activities in the community, either volunteering or learning new skills. In order to better serve our community and the people we support, we are seeking volunteers to assist people we support in their volunteer work. This particular need for a volunteer is at the ICA Food Shelf. The people CIP supports will do a variety of tasks depending on the day and what is needed at the food shelf, which means the volunteer supporting them will also have different tasks. Tasks will always include:

  • Support people while they make a positive impact in the community
  • Creating a positive, uplifting atmosphere
  • Engage in fun and light conversation
This activity is offered on Mondays from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Mission Statement

As listeners, learners and leaders, we will stand with and support people with disabilities in their communities as they pursue their personal dreams and goals.

Description

We're here to help people cope with the issues surrounding social injustice, low income, aging, and homelessness -- and, in doing so, to help them live their greatest lives.

Since 1971, we've been meeting people where they are and bringing them what they need to live as independently, creatively, and fully as possible. We offer a variety of services and supports, which have all been developed as a result of listening to and understanding the needs of the people we serve, their loved ones and their communities.
