The WNY Brain Challenge is an engineering competition for middle school and high school students, brought to you by MISSION: IGNITE Powered by Computers For Children.
The object is to build a Rube Goldberg contraption (think of the game Mouse Trap). Teams are made up of no more than 6 kids and a supervising teacher. Winning teams receive laptop computers!
We are looking for corporate mentors to work with teams to provide guidance and real world experience. This is an exciting opportunity and a great way for individuals and/or corporations to give back to their community.
Teams usually meet once or twice a week after school. Mentors typically meet with students at their school 3-4 times leading up to the competition, but are certainly not limited to that!
