Project New Yorker is seeking a Basic Computer instructor for our Digital Literacy program for women. Class will he held for 8 weeks for 4 hours/week on the weekdays in the morning.

RESPONSIBILITIES include teaching: * Basic Computer Skills * Basic Word processing skills and typing * Letter writing * Internet research skills to apply for jobs or find local government and other beneficial information * How to perform a Google search * Email set up including send/receive email and Introduction to social media * Online banking and shopping (Amazon/Ebay to make purchases) * How to track packages, application etc.

Mission Statement

Project New Yorker's mission is to improve the livelihood of vulnerable and under-resourced immigrant women and youth by providing digital skills training and resources required to achieve economic self-sufficiency.


Project New Yorker is a small emerging not-for-profit organization founded in 2017 in Jamaica, Queens. Our goal is to support, educate and empower under-resourced immigrants who are also survivors of domestic violence and help them to be financial stable through skills development training.
