Join our team as a substitute RN and help us meet our mission to provide the services needed for frail elderly and disabled adults to remain independent and retain their dignity while engaging in an active social life. When additional RN support is needed, under the supervision of the Program Director, the Registered Nurse (R.N.) provides nursing services in our Adult Day Health Care Programs while overseeing 25-30 participants. The R.N. is a key member of the center's Inter-disciplinary team that provides health services for the frail elderly, disabled adults and adults with Alzheimer's Disease. The R.N. provides nursing services including emergency care, evaluating participant needs, writing and implementing nursing care plans, administering medication, communicating with doctors and family and maintaining participant records.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited program for Registered Nurses and a current California
Registered Nurse License are required.
Qualified applicants must have knowledge and be sensitive to the physical, mental, and social
needs of the elderly.
Prefer one year of experience working in a health setting with older adults, people with
disabilities or Alzheimer's disease.
Must possess and maintain current first aid and CPR certification and be proficient in Microsoft
Word.

Description
Our program is comprised of three focuses - Adult Day Health Care, Social Day Services and Alzheimer's Day Care and Resource Center. In our Adult Day Health Care program we provide health maintenance services for the elderly and disabled adults. Services are provided by a team of health care professionals which include nurses, occupational, physical, speech therapists, a social worker and activity staff. Our Social Day Services offer planned social and recreational activities in a supervised setting. Participants enjoy activities such as art, gardening, current events discussions and muscial entertainment. In our award winning program, adults with Alzheimer's and other related dementias join with a professionally trained, caring staff in a supportive and safe environment.
