Peer Support

Mental health has rapidly become the "hot" topic as we experience events that have brought it to the forefront - deserved or not.

NAMI Clackamas has spent the last 40 years combating the stigma while developing and providing NO COST peer support, education, and advocacy for ALL those affected by mental illness - families and friends included.

We need the story of mental health in our country and our county told in a manner that celebrates past accomplishments, identifies current challenges, and explores the vision for "Forty More".

The messages need to be relevant and urgent, focused on the impacts of actions past and present on current events and future needs. Some research has been done with much more that could/should be done.

We would hope to accumulate and strategically distribute materials generated in a variety of media platforms including print, electronic, and video. Additionally, we would like to find ourselves with more social media exposure as a sustainable result.
