Front Range Hospice is a proven leader in end of life care. We are dedicated to giving our patients, families, staff and community partners the services they need when they need it. Front Range Hospice and Palliative Care is the proud recipient of 2019 Hospice Honors, an acknowledgment of high performing agencies. The prestigious annual review recognizes hosipces that continuously provide the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver's point of view.

Volunteers are the heart of Front Range Hospice. They work as a part of the hospice care team to provide a special kind of compassion for our patients and their families. Whether it is offering a unique presence, offering a listening ear, providing grief support, or supporting the administrative tasks of our hospice, the time that our volunteers give to Front Range Hospice allow our hospice to provide exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Although the orientation is at our office in Frederick, the opportunities to volunteer extend throughout our service territory. We are looking for volunteers in the whole service territory which include Fort Collins, Greeley, Longmont, Erie, Brighton, Lafayette, Louisville, Broomfield, Westminster, and surrounding areas. Once the application process is completed, we can schedule an interview as well as a background check and drug screen.

Once orientation is complete you have the opportunity to spend time with our hospice patients in their home environment. That may be a family home, a nursing home or an assisted living. You will be able to assist and enjoy activities with them like Bingo, life review, reading, arts and crafts, entertainment (music), or simply just being present. If you have individualized qualifications you would like to share like being a Pet Therapist, massage therapist, talents of playing an instrument, or Vet to Vet experiences our patients would greatly appreciate this as well. You will work closely with our social workers to develop a relationship between you and your patient so that you can assist them in companionship and activities of their liking.
