We need:
1. Facilitators to teach the Getting Ahead Classes
2. Life skills coaches to help graduates achieve their SMART goals
3. People to prepare meals for individuals in our classes
4. Advice and assistance on our PCs and hand held devices
5. Registration table volunteers at our quarterly community education seminars in Bridges Out of Poverty
6. Social Capital speakers to share with our classes their road to success
Our 250 graduates, soon to be 400 have totally turned their lives around from homeless and unemployed to good jobs, stable housing, savings accounts and a new FUTURE STORY.

Empowering under-resourced families to change their lives by discovering and overcoming barriers to success

Description

  • We help people get out of poverty and stay out!
  • How do we defeat poverty?
    • Our curriculum, Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin-By World is used successfully in 300 U.S. communities
      • 10 weeks of class, 6 hours per week
    • We educate businesses and non-profits in the Bridges Out of Poverty concepts so that they can better understand individuals emerging out of poverty, help them achieve their goals and create a more stable workforce
