CoachArt

Carlos and kiddo 2
Volunteer Carlos used our new online platform to find a nearby CoachArt student for drum lessons!

Since 2001, CoachArt has created 10,000+ amazing 1-on-1 matches between a kid impacted by chronic illness and a volunteer who can teach them a hobby or skill....

And now we have a BRAND NEW online platform YOU can use to:
- complete your training and background check
- see a map of CoachArt kids in your area and what they want to learn
- schedule a match directly with the parents

You do NOT need to be an expert to intro one of our kids to a new hobby! If you can:
- scramble an egg
- OR shoot a basketball
- OR code/program
- OR write creatively
- OR draw
- OR play an instrument....

... then there is a kid impacted by chronic illness near you who wants to learn from you over the course of 8 sessions that you schedule yourself directly with the parents.

You can start the online training NOW!

Mission Statement

CoachArt’s mission is to create a transformative arts and athletics community for families impacted by childhood chronic illness.

Description

CoachArt is a non-profit organization offering free lessons in the arts and athletics to children impacted by chronic illness, ages 5-18. Our vision is that one day every family impacted by chronic illness will be connected to a community of support and an opportunity to learn and grow together.

We partner with talented volunteers and arts/athletics programs to offer lessons in music, art, yoga, photography, dance, soccer - and more! Our CoachArt team matches each individual child with our volunteers and program partners, who provide 8 week lessons in a shared activity of choice.
