As Event Coordinator, you’ll have the opportunity to foster meaningful relationships within the AAMPLIFY community by hosting engaging, creative, and fun events. As part of our Social Justice Leadership Program, students are assigned Big/Little mentorship pairings, and you will have an opportunity to coordinate its programming. This includes hosting 4-5 events throughout the year for our Big/Little pairings to partake in community service, career development, or social mixers.
If you’re a master event planner that is passionate about fostering meaningful human connection and mentorship, we’d love you to join our team! This is a unique opportunity to make an impact on the AAPI community, join an emerging nonprofit with a bold mission, and to boost your resume.
What you’ll do:
Build an event strategy for August 2018 to August 2019 that includes social, service, and networking events for Bigs and Littles
Perform regular check-ins with pairings to understand how best to support students and mentors
Support Bigs by providing resources and assistance
Coordinate events throughout the Bay Area for AAMPLIFY students to attend
Who we’re looking for:
