AAMPLIFY Program Leaders support the implementation and facilitation of AAMPLIFY’s summer program.
No prior experience in teaching or facilitation is required. All AAMPLIFY Program Leaders will complete a comprehensive training before the program begins and be supported by the entire team of AAMPLIFY volunteers and staff.
The program runs from July 30, 2018 to August 10, 2018 in San Francisco. Applicants must be able to attend all program dates.
What you’ll do:
Lead interactive workshops for 10-15 high school student participants
Assist with implementation and coordination of program activities
Support the personal growth and learning of a diverse group of emerging young leaders
Who we’re looking for:
College student or recent grads
Prior leadership experience
Interest in mentorship and working with youth
Knowledge or experience working with the AAPI community (preferred but not required)

Description
AAMPLIFY is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit that empowers underserved Asian American youth to become social justice leaders. Every year, we host a Social Justice Leadership Program for low-income high school students that aim to pursue careers in law, government, non-profit or social enterprise. Our program includes an intensive summer training and ongoing development with rotations in leadership, social justice and college/career planning. By helping these students recognize their leadership potential and ability to change the world, we give a voice to the needs of our community.
