- All participants will be playing in an organized sport!
Where does Buddy Ball take place?
- Grove City’s Mirolo Dream Field at Windsor Park (3400 Ventura Blvd, Grove City, Ohio 43123)
How is this program unique?
- Teams will have buddies for each game.
- Buddies are peers and community volunteers that help the players access the whole baseball experience.
- This league will develop baseball fundamentals
- The "buddy" may help them hit, throw and move around the bases.
- In some cases the buddy will have to push the player in a wheelchair, help a player using a walker or just offer general assistance.
- The buddies gain 'real life’ skills on how to befriend and interact with their peers with special needs.
