Family Connect needs volunteers like you to provide children in foster care and their parents with the opportunity to have supervised visits in a family friendly setting.
These visits are an essential service to increase the family’s chances for reunification and reduce the children’s anxiety while in foster care. Each visitation site is filled with toys, games, books and art materials to provide a comfortable environment for children and their parents to have positive experiences together.
Working with community partners, we have visitation sties in Pasadena, South Pasadena, El Sereno, Echo Park and Baldwin Park. We are especially interested in bilingual volunteers who speak Spanish.
Special training is being offered on Friday, March 27, 5-9pm, Saturday, March 28, 9am-5:30pm, Friday, April 3, 5-9pm, and Saturday, April 4, 9am-5:30pm with attendance needed at all sessions.
