Come Volunteer With Us! TEDxGatewayArch is currently recruiting for day of event help for our Think Well event on Thursday April 12th at the Sheldon. This event will explore this year’s most resonant ideas for healthcare, wellness and medicine including:
- Live, 18-minute talks from 8 industry leaders
- Health topics from mindfulness to zoology to tech trends
- Special interview with Olympic gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee
- Musical guest Cave of Swords
- Creative artists and thinkers
- An idea-powered way to inspire your 2018
We have various positions we are looking to fill including registration, greeting, ushers, working with vendors, and many more opportunities. The time commitment for the event would be from around 8am-7pm. Lunch will be provided. If you would not be able to stay for the whole event, we can work with you to find a volunteer assignment that can accommodate your schedule.

Our mission is to Create a inclusive and equitable community of thought leaders in the St. Louis region. The TEDxGatewayArch chapter focuses on curating TED-oriented thought-leaders and topics thathave an intrinsic connection to the St. Louis region & may not be broadly known or understood my most St. Louisians. We provide the community with events, connections and ongoing information that will help them propel the St. Louis region to greater vibrancy and prosperity. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. Our community will build a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the region’s most inspired thinkers -- and a consortium of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other, both online and at TEDx events all year long.
Description
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
