Central Commons Development: Central Commons, a 30-home, mixed income development with 2- to 4- bedroom condos, will transform a vacant lot into a beautiful, thriving neighborhood in the heart of Fremont. Help Habitat build new homes from the ground up! Volunteer opportunities at this site varies and are usually available Wednesday through Friday and some Saturdays from 8:30am-4:00pm (full-day only).

Special event!

• Beloved Community: When Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. shared his vision for a society based on justice, equal opportunity, and love of one's fellow human beings, he built the blueprints for "the Beloved Community." In partnership with The King Center’s MLK 50, Habitat for Humanity we commemorate the 50th anniversaries of Dr. King’s death, as well as the passage of the Fair Housing Act, in April 1968 by dedicating 2018 to building the Beloved Community. This year join Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley as we build, educate, and fundraise toward the Beloved Community.

Throughout 2018, we will have Beloved Community builds and events. I would love if you would join us at one of the future events! We have two events coming up soon:

• Saturday, March 31st - Community Build Day in Fremont - Central Commons (16 & older only)
• Sunday, April 8th - Site Tour in Fremont - Central Commons (all ages)
