Do you have 1-3 hours you can devote to volunteering at the library once a week? San José Public Library needs summer volunteers to help students avoid summer slide. How is this possible? With you! Come learn how library volunteers play a pivotal role in the Summer Learning program and make an impact in your community this June and July. Sign up to assist with our Summer Learning program.
As a Summer Learning volunteer, you can greatly help your community while interacting with youth and families. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers that are comfortable in engaging library users about registering for the program. You will work alongside staff to help promote our Summer Learning program and serve as a Summer Learning Ambassador. Description
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
