Volunteer Services needs volunteer drivers, home repair folks, and/or volunteers willing to help with light housecleaning in the homes of low-income seniors and adults with disabilities. If you might be interested in any (or all!) of these tasks please reach out to Rebekah at Volunteer Services for more information! Volunteer as little or as often as you'd like, there is no commitment. VS also offers mileage reimbursement and an extended liability insurance to all volunteers. Thank you for your interest in volunteering for those in need!

About Catholic Community Services' Volunteer Services

3545 7th ave SW, STE t-004, Olympia, WA 98502, US

Mission Statement

We believe every child should grow up in a safe, loving and nurturing environment We believe the elderly should be able to live with security and dignity. We believe healthy family life should be affirmed and supported in our communities We believe in compassion, love and respect for all people, especially the poor and most vulnerable. We believe in joining with others to change systems that oppress, discriminate or otherwise cause human suffering. We believe employees and volunteers should work in an environment that fosters respect, teamwork and excellence. We believe in all of these things for all people, whatever their color, whatever language they speak or however they worship.

Our program exists as a safety net for low-income elders and people with disabilities (also low-income)by providing them with services that allow them to remain living as independently as possible in their own homes (not assisted living). For example, a 89 year old woman who only collects $600/mo. in Social Security needs help with her lawn. She can't afford to pay someone, and if her lawn goes a couple of months without being mowed, now the lawn is a fire hazard.
