SUMMER CAMP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED (June 28th through August 17th)
- Assist Director of Business Development update business partnerships spreadsheet
- Assist clients in completing workforce surveys by making calls to previous clients, asking them necessary questions while filling out the google form provided to you by the director of business development
- Assist Director of Business Development in drafting documents for Spring Job Fair scheduled for June 2018
Do you have a skill or passion that you want to share with our campers this summer? As a volunteer, the possibilities to get involved in our camp community are endless.
Are you a designer or carpenter? Kids love to build and could design something that could be permanent to camp.
Do you have an expertise in a STEM-related field? Kids love to learn especially when it is hands-on and experiential.
Are you a musician?
Do you play an unusual instrument that our campers have rarely seen. Maybe you are part of a quartet or rock group and you could perform and explain how your instruments work.
Are you an entrepreneur? Can you teach workshops on how to start a business? Today's children and teens could truly benefit from your knowledge.
Whatever your skills and expertise, you have the opportunity to positively impact our campers during the summer and we would love to find a way to include you in our camp community for an hour, a day, a week or more!

Commonpoint Queens is a non-profit, multi-service agency with flagship sites in Little Neck, Bayside, Forest Hills, and 33 additional sites throughout the community that provides a diverse array of programs and services to over 35,000 people. Since our inception, almost 60 years ago, the Samuel Field Y has been dedicated to the core element of our mission - enhancing the quality of individual, family and communal life through service to people of all ages, ability levels, stages of life and backgrounds.
Description
For almost 60 years, Commonpoint Queens (formerly The Samuel Field and Central Queens YMWHA) has remained strong and vital and has continued to provide new and innovative programs to the greater Northeast Queens and Western Nassau communities.
As we embark on our sixth decade of providing high quality programs and services to our community, individuals of all ages learn and flourish within a caring and supportive environment at one of our 36 different sites throughout our neighborhoods.
We continue to provide life enhancing and life sustaining services to the over 35,000 people who depend on us to be their community center at each stage of their lives.
