This summer, the Parkinson's Foundation will host its 3rd annual Moving Day Milwaukee, A Walk for Parkinson’s event. Scheduled for Saturday, June 8th, 2019 at Hart Park in Wauwatosa WI, Moving Day Milwaukee has with a goal of raising $70,000 and attracting an audience of 400+ people. This celebration of movement will feature a family-friendly walk course, a children’s area, refreshment tent and Movement Pavilion featuring exercise classes all proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms.
The Parkinson's Foundation is currently recruiting volunteers to help with set-up, registration, refreshments, kid’s area, course, team village, clean-up etc. Volunteers will work 3, 4 or 6 hour shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 1:30pm and times will vary depending on availability and area assigned. Parking passes and a light breakfast will be provided along with a t-shirt for each volunteer.
